In trying to escape my bubble and hear what Trump voters have to say about why they voted for Trump, I turned to this episode of On Point with Tom Ashbrook (46 min). Some of the rationalizations that callers and the panel make throughout the program are mind blowing to me and the distrust of the press is seriously alarming. I'm no closer to understanding how this all happened because I refuse to just land on 'people are stupid'.
